GAS OFFSET VERIFICATION
For several years, SES,
Inc. (SES) has been instrumental in the emerging field of greenhouse
gas (GHG) emission offset verification.
This work is an outgrowth of our experience with development and
verification of voluntary environmental programs in the areas of
agriculture and natural resources.
SES is an approved verifier for
offsets registered on the Chicago Climate Exchange (CCX). SES has also
conducted verifications based on protocols developed by clients. SES is
approved by CCX to verify the following project scopes:

Agricultural
soil carbon

Renewable
energy
·
Rangeland soil
carbon
Since 2004, SES has verified over 35
agricultural methane projects in the US.
SES has also verified agricultural methane projects in Brazil and is
conducting verification in India. SES has verified renewable energy
projects in the US and Brazil. For soil carbon, SES has field-verified
close to 400,000 acres of no-till and grassland acreage in 10 states, and
over 500,000 acres of rangeland.
