COMPREHENSIVE NUTRIENT MANAGEMENT
PLANNING
SES has
worked for the agricultural sector since its inception in 1998. We have completed numerous
nutrient-related projects for state, federal and private clients. SES
project managers are Certified Professional Soil Scientists (CPSS) or
Certified Crop Advisors (CCA).
SES
understands that comprehensive nutrient management plans (CNMP) will soon
be required by regulation for all concentrated animal feeding operations (CAFO). SES is
ready to provide this service to livestock producers.
SES
completed one of the first Comprehensive Nutrient Management Plans (CNMP)
in the U.S. for the second-largest pork producer in the nation. This CNMP was completed for 23 swine
operations utilizing 163 lagoons across five counties in northern
Missouri. Swine effluent from these
lagoons is applied on more than 50,000 acres in more than 1,300 fields of
diversified crop production. The
land application techniques, field characteristics, soil types, cropping
rotations, climatic conditions, and environmentally sensitive areas are
representative of livestock operations in northern Missouri.
SES has
demonstrated experience in successfully working with the NRCS and private
landowners to develop more than 250 NMPs in Iowa and Missouri for livestock
and non-livestock producers. Our
service is always timely, thorough, effective and cost competitive.
Our primary business is in providing services in
the area of agricultural production.
